My Final Perfume Adverts

Today we looked at the production logs and the powerpoints of the GCSE students of past years. We noticed that their powerpoint appendix's were very dense so we realised that we needed to make our equally detailed. Nicole and i have decided to include in our appendix:

- Pictures of filming day

- Screenshots of Tumblr posts/ research

- Pinterest Pinboards about thriller films and kidnapping

- The props we used

- Our call sheets

26/1/13, Filming: Second Day

On the second day of filming, Nicole and I took advantage of the sun and filmed every scene that was outside. There were two scenes that needed specific light:

- The running in the woods scene:  This was my favourite scene to film because on this day the weather was perfect for the atmosphere we wanted to create: gloomy, pale and dry. I found it was easy to get as many angles possible because the woods that we filmed in are very big and vast and therefore we could put the camera in many places, far away from the girl or close up. In this scene we used a tripod for certain shots.

- Kidnappers Layer scene: This scene was hard to get the lighting right and this is why we had to use natural lighting through the window in my garage to create an eerie effect. The difficulty we found was trying to make the rope look really realistically tight around my wrist and the tape strapped on tight around my mouth. I think the clips from this scene turned out successfully.

25/1/13 - Filming: First Day

Today was our first filming day and Nicole and I have successfully filmed every scene that is inside.

 For example;

- The Bathtub Scene : The difficulties we found with filming this scene was making sure we didnt get my bikini in the shot to make it seem as if i was actually in a bath. Also we found it hard to make the mud look realistic in the bath on the arms. The strength of this scene we found was the close up shots as they portrayed a lot of emotion.

- The Scene with the Surgeon: This scene was significantly easier to film than any other scene. There were no major difficulties apart from the fact we had to find a surgeon file.

- In her bedroom covering her bruises with concealer: This scene was extremely difficult because we wanted to make sure it was clear that she wanted to try and hide the fact that she had bruises on her arms and neck. We found that when i added concealer to the bruise it looked as if i was adding to the bruise instead of trying to hide it.

22/1/14, Planning : Call Sheets

22/1/14

Today me and my partner finished the call sheets for every scene in our short film opening. There are only four because most of the opening will take place in either the bathtub or the 'flashback scene' in the kidnappers room/layer. Our scenes are the bathtub scene, the kidnappers layer scene, the surgeon's desk scene and the bedroom scene.

8/1/14, Planning: Filming Dates

Me and my partner Nicole have decided that our main filming dates for our final film will be the 25th and the 26th of January.

On Saturday we are thinking about doing all scenes that are inside and on the Sunday we are planning to do all outer scenes to get the best amount of sunlight, as we are starting filming at 3pm on Saturday.
